Patch vs Scams is a cartoon series and website that explains real scams in plain language: how the trick works, the red flags to spot, and exactly what to do instead.
Meet the cast
- Patch is a cat on scam patrol. He breaks down each scam and shows you the warning signs.
- Rocco is a raccoon who tries a new con every episode, and always gets caught.
Both characters are fictional. The scams they act out are real and widely reported.
How we make our content
We use AI tools to help write, animate and narrate our videos. Every script is checked against official guidance from consumer-protection and law-enforcement agencies before it is published, and a person reviews every video before it goes live. We don’t use real people’s faces or voices, and the phone numbers, names and websites shown in our scam examples are made up.
Our standards
- We rely on official sources, such as government consumer-protection agencies, national fraud-reporting services and the companies being impersonated.
- We explain how scams work so you can recognise them. We never publish step-by-step instructions that would help someone run a scam.
- If we get something wrong, we fix it. Tell us at hello@patchvsscams.com and we will correct the article and note the change.
- We are not affiliated with any company or brand named in our content. Names are used only to explain how scammers impersonate them.
