If you think you have been scammed
- Contact your bank or card provider immediately using the number on your card or in its official app, not a number from a message or search ad.
- Change your passwords and turn on two-step verification on any account that may be affected.
- Report it to the official authority in your country, for example the US Federal Trade Commission at ReportFraud.ftc.gov, or in India the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal at cybercrime.gov.in or helpline 1930.
Beware of “recovery” scams
Patch vs Scams will never contact you offering to recover lost money, and we never ask for payments, passwords or personal details. Anyone claiming to be us, or offering to get your money back for a fee, is running a scam.

Company and product names mentioned on this site belong to their owners. We name them only to explain how scammers impersonate them. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
Affiliate links and advertising
We do not currently use affiliate links or paid placements. If that changes, any such link will be clearly labelled, and it will never change what we say about a scam or how to stay safe.
